I know it's a stupid question, but I recently bought a facial buffer from the body shop to exfoliate with and I wanted to know:
1. How often am I supposed to use it? I use it once every other day. Is it ok to be using it more, or am I supposed to use it less.
2. How do I use it? Am I supposed to do like light circular motions or something. I just don't want to damage my skin. How do you use a facial buffer correctly?
When I am going to use this Body Shop Facial Buffer, I first wet my face and then I apply my cleanser thoroughly. Once my face is covered with cleanser and I've rubbed it in really good, I wet the Facial Buffer pad and put my fingers under the cloth strip so that it's easy to hold onto. Then I gently massage the buffer pad all over my face and neck in a circular motion. You don't want to do this too hard or it can be too harsh on the skin. It's very textured so I barely use any force or pressure when I'm using it, as I'm sure that overdoing it with this thing will probably cause very irritated, or possibly even raw, skin!
I know where my driest spots are so I am mindful of that while I'm using the Facial Buffer. When I'm finished I rinse the buffer of all the cleanser, squeeze out the excess water and then I hang it by the fabric strip so that it can air dry. In order to keep it clean and sanitary, I wash it with warm water and anti-bacterial soap once a week. Thankfully it seems to hold up well with continued use. I am certain that it will be a long time before I have to replace it, if ever.
After using the Facial Buffer my skin is very soft and smooth, and I can definitely tell a difference in the overall texture of my skin. It does a great job at removing dead, flaky skin and it also helps clear and prevent clogged pores. I only use the Facial Buffer 2-3 times a week because it's a potent little thing and I don't want to overdo it and cause more harm than good.
